You Say You're a Christian
Very simply, I grew up a christian. I Know a lot of good Christians in the world and it offends me greatly that a man like George W Bush could call himself a Christian and still stand behind the killing, the lies and deception surrounding the war in Iraq (a war that has no legal foundation to stand on). This truly offends me to no end so I wrote this song. --Estela

Abuelita Luna
A tribute to our grandmother Moon, who looks over us all. May she continue to light our way as we, the human family, walk this planet. May she guide us to care for our Earth and all it´s living creatures. --Estela

Hierba Silvestre
This is from the recording, Coca Kintucha, released by Mino Mele and Gisela Perez-Ruibal. This is a fusion recording of rock and jazz with traditional Andean music, recorded in Mino's studio in the highlands around Cusco. The process is to record accapella vocals in Cusco, and then write modern compositions around this raw material back in Lima. Check out the incredibly exotic vocals a minute into the song.

Adios Pueblo de Ayacucho
This song is included on Gisela Perez Ruibal's disc, Habaschallay, which is a recording of traditional Andean Huayno music from the central Andes near Ayacucho. In this recording, Gisela brings to her audience an entirely new style of piano playing inspired by her childhood teacher, Flor de Maria Canelo, fusing elements of classical arrangement and technique with charango and flute based folk music. This is the only recording of its kind that we know of. It seems to me a bit like a classical ragtime approach to Peruvian traditional music. Totally amazing!

Coca Kintucha
This is another great song from Mino and Gisela's Coca Kintucha recording. Just listen to the wonderful bass line, an incredibly nice arrangement of this traditional song from the Central Andes

Chin Up
This is the first song off our brand new CD, Borrowed Time, which we recorded in Peru with a group of fantastic musicians from both the coast and mountains.
